The Netslab-5G Open RAN Intrusion Detection Dataset (Netslab-5GORAN-IDD) is a real-world dataset collected using a physical 5G Open RAN testbed at University College Dublin. It includes both higher-layer network traffic data and lower-layer radio and device-level metrics, making it one of the few comprehensive datasets available for research in Open RAN security.
This dataset was created by simulating various Denial of Service (DoS) and Distributed DoS (DDoS) attacks on the O-Cloud Edge Server, alongside benign traffic scenarios. The data was then transformed into structured databases designed to support machine learning-based intrusion detection. By including data from both network flows and UE-specific radio metrics, this dataset enables a deeper and more realistic analysis of threats in modern 5G Open RAN systems.

This dataset helps address the lack of realistic, fine-grained Open RAN security datasets and provides a strong foundation for developing robust, real-time threat detection solutions in 5G and beyond.
