Sangita Dhara

Dr. Sangita Dhara is currently serving as an Adjunct Research Scientist at University College Dublin (UCD). She previously worked as a Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin (TCD) under the CONNECT Centre, where she led the design of AI-enabled frameworks for caching, task offloading, and bandwidth allocation across Satellite–Aerial–Ground Integrated Networks (SAGINs). She holds an M.S. (by Research) and a Ph.D. in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, supported by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) projects on interplanetary and delay-tolerant networks.
At UCD, Dr. Dhara is currently contributing to multiple Horizon Europe proposals, where she supports technical content development, use-case modeling, and work package design in alignment with emerging European priorities. Her research interests include reinforcement learning, federated learning, and green AI for 6G and Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTNs). She is also a recipient of the prestigious EDGE Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship and has contributed to several national and international research initiatives.
