Jiaying Guo

Jiaying Guo is a PhD researcher at the School of Computer Science, University College Dublin, specializing in sustainable urban traffic management. She is a Graduate Student Member of IEEE and holds a B.Sc. from University College Dublin, Ireland, and a B.Eng. from Beijing University of Technology, China (2020). Her doctoral research focuses on deep reinforcement learning (DRL) for adaptive traffic flow control in connected vehicle environments, aiming to enhance traffic efficiency, reduce congestion, and lower emissions. Jiaying actively contributes to open-source traffic simulation frameworks. Her research interests include deep reinforcement learning, explainable AI, adaptive traffic signal control and connected autonomous vehicles.
