Educational Background

Dongyuan Wang is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the School of Computer Science, University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland. He obtained a Master of Science in Advanced Computer Science from the University of Exeter and previously earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Technology from Zaozhuang University in China.

Work Experience

Before his doctoral studies, Dongyuan worked at China Tai’an Bank in an operational technology role, gaining experience in digital financial operations and data privacy protection.

Research Direction

His research focuses on machine learning security, particularly on enhancing the robustness and privacy of decentralized federated learning and other distributed machine learning systems. The goal is to develop solutions that balance privacy protection and system efficiency in complex distributed environments.
